Yoon, Sang Ho (윤상호)

Currently, I work at Samsung Research. I received my Ph.D. in 2017 from the School of Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University. I am particularly interested in applying novel sensing techniques to bring new forms of input metaphor in Human computer interaction. My research has focused on promoting natural interactions through novel sensing techniques. Areas of interest include Human-Computer Interaction with novel sensing/haptic techniques in existing (mobile/wearables) & futuristic devices (AR/VR).

Previously, I received my B.S & M.S degrees from Carnegie Mellon University in 2008 with major in Mechanical Engineering and minor in Robotics with college and department honors. During 2008~2013, I worked at research center in LG Display & LG Electronics. I participated in futuristic projects including 'Transparent & Public Display', 'Assistive/Rehabilitation Robot', and 'Smart Car User Interface'. Before joining Samsung Research, I have been a member of Microsoft Applied Sciences Lab from 2017~2020.
